Urgent prayer

As we slept last night, on vacation in New York, we were woken by a phone call. Two young men from our church were shot right in front of our home in Tijuana.

The boys had been playing music at another church and had come back to drop off the instruments when two cars drove up and began shooting at a man standing near the gate

to our property.

Pancho, 16, was shot in the leg. Esteban, 20, was shot three times. He was admitted to intensive care and is now stable.

Bullets actually entered our home and houses near ours. My sister Debbie was at home with her two girls (their house is on the same property as ours), who were understandably upset by the event.

Please pray for the boys’ quick recovery, protection around our home and families, and elimination of fear of the power of God.

Greater is He who is in us that he who is in the world!

I am His daughter, and He adores me!

This year’s APV girls’ abstinence camp surpassed our expectations in what God did in each life!

Our theme was, “I am His daughter, and He adores me!” The girls were able to really feel God’s love and their lives were touched in knowing that God adores them! We will share some personal stories later in our next prayer letter.

We had a total of 200 in attendance, including leaders. Seven different speakers each brought a special word that lifted the girls’ spirits. And, WOW, the glory of God was in that place!

Thank you, again, for your prayers and help to make this camp possible. May your life be blessed as well.

On a personal note, we left for vacation on Tuesday and are visiting friends in New York and my grandmother in Vermont. Please pray that this will be a restful time as we enjoy fun times as a family and are refreshed spiritually.

In His love,

Camp

We leave for the girls’ camp tomorrow and are super excited about what God will do in the lives of the girls who are attending. He will do something new in their hearts.

We have struggled to complete preparations, and some things have not gone according to plan. We have felt the opposition and take great encouragement in knowing that we do not struggle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of the darkness of this world which Christ defeated at the cross. We go in His authority and are are more than conquerors through Christ. The victory is ours!

Please keep us in your prayers this weekend. We want more of Him, more of His presence, and more of His love in the life of each girl. Pray that our strength be multiplied and for the health of each camper and leader, as well as our own children (especially Jacob, just 6 weeks old), that the extreme heat will not bother anyone.

Thank you for your financial support. All that God will do is made possible through your help. Glory to God!

With love,
